About Me
- Name: coffman
- Location: Los Angeles, California, United States
David Coffman grew up on a small farm in the middle of California. In the winter he’d spend hours drawing in the mud, and in the summer he’d draw in the dust. Who knew that this small town pig farmer would aspire to a career in animation. Years passed, and David’s focus on art and animation grew stronger. He moved to the city(San Jose) to pursue his dream and go to college. Here he learned many great skills and advanced from “dirt drawing” to paper and eventually computers. After years of hard work, David graduated with a BFA in animation and illustration. This lead to a move to Kansas City, Missouri where he worked as an animator and designer for Hallmark Cards. After a few years of animating bunnies and kittens, it was time to return to his family and friends back in California where he currently resides. David has an obsession with all things goofy. He collects odd monster toys and funny t-shirts. Both of which he has lost track of how many he owns. He enjoys thrift store shopping sprees, followed by a relaxing evening drawing and watching cartoons, and eating cereal or ice cream (sometimes both).

fun stuff coffman, I like the off-registerness that you have on the unicorn. What are you going to do with these? Make a book maybe?? or flashcards? FYI teddy grams still asks about you.
Yeah, all my pieces are traditional for the show. I did my last piece in a gouache\watercolor wash with some pilot hi-tec in for the characters. I ditched some of the background details for a more simple/dreamy look.
I am also really excited about seeing everyone together. It will be here so soon!
Peace!
