About Me
- Name: coffman
- Location: Los Angeles, California, United States
David Coffman grew up on a small farm in the middle of California. In the winter he’d spend hours drawing in the mud, and in the summer he’d draw in the dust. Who knew that this small town pig farmer would aspire to a career in animation. Years passed, and David’s focus on art and animation grew stronger. He moved to the city(San Jose) to pursue his dream and go to college. Here he learned many great skills and advanced from “dirt drawing” to paper and eventually computers. After years of hard work, David graduated with a BFA in animation and illustration. This lead to a move to Kansas City, Missouri where he worked as an animator and designer for Hallmark Cards. After a few years of animating bunnies and kittens, it was time to return to his family and friends back in California where he currently resides. David has an obsession with all things goofy. He collects odd monster toys and funny t-shirts. Both of which he has lost track of how many he owns. He enjoys thrift store shopping sprees, followed by a relaxing evening drawing and watching cartoons, and eating cereal or ice cream (sometimes both).

I think I like the one in the top right the most. I like the shape, and I think he has a great attitude.
You know I am really diggin the far left. It's so original and pushed. I can feel the folds and wieght. He just looks so damn goofy too. So much fat it curls over his brow i love it. He even has a bowled stance like a bull dog. One thing i really do like though about the others is that they have a nice carying shape from big bulky in front to slender in back. The triangular shape make em feel like bull dozers or snow plows in a way. I guess the next step wouold prob be to just find a personality you like, Scrubs was a huge influence for me with the owls. i just wanted to take different moody moments and use my character to describe how i felt about it.
This left piggy feels a bit down on life, and you could prob milk it more. Like me may want to seem tough with his stance, but maybe he's so down that his head is dipped more, like a tough pathetic boar, a football player, whose hay day is now gone, and he's just a big fat blob, cause all his muscle has turned to fat... okay enough of the rambling :)
Cool stuff though Dave. Diggin the shoe stuff a lot too. megan's so lucky :)
