About Me
- Name: coffman
- Location: Los Angeles, California, United States
David Coffman grew up on a small farm in the middle of California. In the winter he’d spend hours drawing in the mud, and in the summer he’d draw in the dust. Who knew that this small town pig farmer would aspire to a career in animation. Years passed, and David’s focus on art and animation grew stronger. He moved to the city(San Jose) to pursue his dream and go to college. Here he learned many great skills and advanced from “dirt drawing” to paper and eventually computers. After years of hard work, David graduated with a BFA in animation and illustration. This lead to a move to Kansas City, Missouri where he worked as an animator and designer for Hallmark Cards. After a few years of animating bunnies and kittens, it was time to return to his family and friends back in California where he currently resides. David has an obsession with all things goofy. He collects odd monster toys and funny t-shirts. Both of which he has lost track of how many he owns. He enjoys thrift store shopping sprees, followed by a relaxing evening drawing and watching cartoons, and eating cereal or ice cream (sometimes both).

ADORABLE! You definately have an awesome style, I'm jealous. And a very smart decision to keep the animals looking like their humans, It's totally true. By the way, since schools starting again and I'm in the program now, have any pointers? I'm having a hard time seeing any improvement over the summer with my sketch book (working and all doesn't leave much time to draw) Anything in particular (ideas) that I should include in my sketch book that would be benifical?
Thanks, hope your doing well!
You're gonna soften me all up Dave. :) Love the style.
Get well soon, wicked buddy. Get well soon.
fantastic art and world!!
un abrazo
really nice! love the attitude you're giving them. get well soon so you can put up some more paintings!
hey Dave, miss you lots and your work is looking great. Would you make fun of my mom, just for old times sake.
Hey Dave, miss you like I miss my tastebuds and your work is looking way better than when you were in kindergarden. No really your stuff looks great and I cant wait to see more.
Damn I love these... I got first dibs, Um I got 5 jr. bacon cheese burgers and a bucket of bottlecaps (for tap dancing)
i hope you are contributing to the Humane Society's Art Unleashed Auction this year. I bid on two of your pieces last year and was particularly disappointed for myself/excited for you and the Humane Society that the painting on wood went for much more than I was able to bid. It was a brilliant piece and I'm hoping to see something similar at this year's auction.
